Christina Rios Garcia, 82, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Christina loved to cook, having her coffee, listening to music, watching The Flying Nun, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fabian M. Garcia, her granddaughter, Emily Christina Elizondo, her sisters, Irene Sustaita, Sophia Jarvis and her brother, Anastacio Rios, Sr. She is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Criselda Garcia, Elida Garcia-Vara and Raquel Garcia of Taft, her brothers, Nate (San Juana)  Rios, Sr. and Gilbert (Roselma) Rios of Taft, her sisters, Ginny  (Adan) Vega of Aransas Pass, Angie (Ralph) Mancias and Rita (Ernest) Ochoa of Portland and five grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 2 PM to 9 PM with a holy rosary being recited at 7 PM at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Taft with Father John McKenzie as celebrant. Interment will follow at Lamas Memorial Park in Taft.
