Consuelo Ruiz Zapata, 74, loving mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025.  Consuelo loved to cook, loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids; but most of all she loved making everyone happy.  She was the rock of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Juana Ruiz, her daughter, Nelda Zapata and her sisters, Esperanza Ruiz and Beatrice Ruiz. She is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Luisa Zapata, Cindy Zapata, Patsy Zapata, and Joanna Zapata of Sinton; her brothers, Joey Ruiz and Rene Ruiz of Sinton; her sisters, Elodia " Lola " Ruiz and Diana Godines of Sinton, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sinton. This will conclude the services.
