David Dallas Jackson

David Dallas Jackson III of Sinton, TX, passed away June 11, 2024, at his residence at the age of 72. He was born in McComb, MS to D.D. and Elsie Jackson. He graduated from McComb High School in 1969 and received his bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Southern Mississippi. David was proud to be an Eagle Scout, mentoring many, hunting and enjoying the outdoors when he wasn't working at his dad's cleaners. David was known for his strong work ethic all his life and purchased his first car at the age of fifteen, a 1966 Mustang, paying for it in full. 

He was a proud Texan, saying "I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could." He loved reading Texas history, his pets, collecting knives and attending gun shows. He was a member of the Texas State Rifle Association. He was a dry cleaner all his life, owning multiple cleaners throughout south Texas. His last establishment was the G&R Cleaners in Sinton, TX, that he ran for 33 years with his wife, Susan. David was known for his quick wit, love of life, and willingness to serve his customers and community. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. 

He is survived by his wife, Susan Fojtik, of 31 years, his daughters, Jill Couvillion and her husband Billy, Nickie Garcia and her husband Fermin, and grandchildren Katelyn Lee, Jackson Lee, Justin Garcia, and Jacob Garcia and great grandchildren, Easton Lee and Sophia Garcia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
