Maria Cruz Gamez, 100, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend went to be with the Lord on

Wednesday, July 10, 2024. She loved sewing and embroidery but most of all she loved serving her church and her community. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rosendo Gamez. She is survived by her loving family, her sons, Rosendo Gamez, Jr. of Sinton and Savino Gamez of George West, her daughters, Modesta Garcia of Houston, Rita Gamez and Valerie Marie Lopez of Sinton, her sister, Rosario De Leon of Sinton, 20 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 4 PM to 9 PM with a holy rosary being recited at 7 PM at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sinton with Father Glen Mullan as celebrant. Interment will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert Rivera, Travis Franco, Cory Franco, Erik Gomez, Daniel Rivera, and Tyler Ramirez.
