​​​Billy Gene Berry, 91, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at home peacefully.  

He was born December 6, 1933, in Konawa, Oklahoma to Estel and Dora (Williams) Berry.  

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bobby J. Berry; brother, John L. Berry; and sister, Patsy Griffin.  

Billy served in the Army from 1955 to 1957 stationed in Stillwell, Oklahoma.  

He lived in Houston, Texas while attending college and working.  Later retiring with Kellogg, Brown, and Root.  

After his retirement, he moved to Sinton to be near family.  He enjoyed going to all school and sporting events with family and friends.  He enjoyed walking, reading books, and keeping up with everyday life events.  

He is survived by his niece, Patty Kocurek, of Sinton, Texas; his nephew, Mitch Berry of Adkins, Texas; and Pamela Emerson of Papalote, Texas.  He was a loving son, brother, and uncle to nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.   

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Banquete Cemetery.
