Betty Pitts Cocke entered eternal rest, surrounded by her children, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the age of 83.  She was born December 3, 1942, in Sinton, Texas to Mose and Vena (Chase) Pitts. Betty was a homemaker and a hairdresser for many years.  Later in life she became a tech for Economy and Moore's Pharmacy. She was a devout Christian who took her religion very seriously and proudly served as Secretary to the Presbyterian Church in Sinton for many years.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James Cocke; her parents, Mose and Vena; brothers, Marvin, Glenn (Patricia), and William Pitts.  She is survived by her son David Brandenburg, Sr. and daughter, Carol (Adrian) Pardo; her grandchildren, Ryan (Heather) Brandenburg, Brianna Pardo, David Brandenburg, Jr. and a great-grandson, David Brandenburg III.  She is also survived by her step-son Ben Cocke and her sister Carol Ann (Harold) Plessner.

A service will be Friday, June 26th at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Cemetery on I37 in Corpus Christi where she will spend eternity with her beloved husband.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sinton Presbyterian Church or the South Texas Children's Home in Pettus, Texas.
