Delia Marin

Delia M. Marin, 70, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025.  She was from Edroy, Texas and was born to Juan and Dora Marin of Edroy.  Delia was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family, animals, and all those fortunate enough to know her.  A passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, Delia could always be counted on to cheer for her team. She found great joy in cooking and baking, often filling her home with warmth, laughter, and the delicious scents of homemade meals and sweet treats. Her love for animals was as boundless as her love for her family.

Delia was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Dora Marin; her sisters, Maria Garces, Esperanza Barrientez, and Dominga Villarreal; and her brothers, Jacinto Marin and Louis Marin. She is survived by her devoted husband, Oscar Garza; her loving sisters, Elva (Domingo) Lopez Jr. of Edroy, Helen (Steven) Hinojosa of Mathis, Lupe (Robert) De Leon of Edroy, Dora (the late Paul) Tijerina of Beeville, and Silvia (the late Richard) Fuentes of Corpus Christi; her brother, Juan (Aurora) Marin of Mathis; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply and treated as her own.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Edroy. Interment will follow at Edroy Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rene Ramirez Jr., Robert De Leon Jr., Domingo Lopez III, Manuel Trevino, Tomas Hinojosa, Jeremy Fuentes, and Manuel Trevino II.

​

Delia's warmth, loyalty, and love will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.​​​
