Florella Townsend Maldonado, 83, loving mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Friday, January 10,2025.  Florella was born on September 8, 1941 in Kingsville, Texas to James and Enriquetta Goodwyn Townsend.  She had been employed as a driver for Sparts Transportation.  She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother, playing Bingo, singing, dancing, and spending time with her family and her provider. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cipriano Maldonado; her grandson, Isaac James Maldonado; and her parents. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Maldonado and Joey Maldonado of Sinton; her grandchildren,  Patrick Anthony Maldonado, Jennifer Maldonado, Jacob Maldonado. Joe Brian Castillo, Clarissa Castillo, Joseph Maldonado, Jr., Patrick Maldonado, Jr. and Eric Maldonado, and 11 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 7 p.m. at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. This will conclude the services.
