Our beloved, mom, daughter, sister, grandma, Tia and friend Frances entered her eternal rest on July 28, 2026. Frances was born on March 23, 1968, in Sinton, Texas to Pedro and Genoveva Elizardo.

​

She is preceded in death by her dad, Pedro Elizardo, her paternal grandparents, Francisco and Juanita Elizardo and maternal grandparents, Matilde and Marta Torres, her uncles, Ubenze Elizardo and Ignacio Elizardo, two cousins, Anthony Torres, Marcos Elizardo and Frankie Elizardo.

She is survived by her children: Roel Anguiano, Deanna (Patrick) Salcido, Jason Rey (Rose) Anguiano. Frances has always been devoted to her beloved grandchildren: Roel Anguiano, Jr., Madelyn Anguiano, Ava Anguiano, Jayden Lopez, Christian Lopez, Samuel Salcido, Alexandra Anguiano, Angelica Anguiano, Joseph Anguiano, Jayden Anguiano. Frances is also survived by her beloved mom, Genoveva Elizardo and her siblings, Janie (Danny) Garza, Fr.

Pedro Elizardo, Jr., Jason (Gracie) Elizardo, Steven Elizardo. She is also forever remembered by many nephews and nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, uncles and aunts, and cousins.

Frances leaves behind a life grounded in family, love and quiet strength.

A cherished woman loved by many, especially her family. Frances had a vibrant spirit and was known for her love of life. She brought unpredictable joy to every gathering with her own sense of humor and attitude, making her the only presence in the heart of the family that she could be - Frances. She was the kind of presence that did not ask for attention but made life more unpredictable and adventurous because you never knew what she was going to say or do. She kept us on our toes. We all knew that there was no other that could be her.

Frances showed us how God did not give her a spirit of cowardice, but rather a Spirit of Courage for she overcame many obstacles and challenges in life proving her inner strength and teaching the rest of us how to persevere.

Frances will always be remembered as one of the strongest women that one could ever meet. She endured and bore sufferings, but with faith, kept running the race of life. An example to her family and friends that will be remembered forever. In her healthier years, she was a great cook and people enjoyed what she prepared. In her earlier years, she worked at the local Dairy Queen in Odem, and once she had to step down due to her health, Dairy Queen was never the same. Customers always knew when Frances was the one preparing the burgers, and everything else. She simply cared enough to make sure that people would enjoy their breakfast, lunch or dinner. She simply cared.

Above all, Frances was dedicated to her family, especially her grandchildren. She gave of herself to them with as the scripture says, "love beyond all telling". And this is a love she has had for them and her children. Even though her health challenged her, it would not keep her from still taking care of those around her. She simply cared. Our dear Frances will be missed deeply and daily by her entire family. Her beautiful smile that she never lost even when her suffering was at its greatest, is a smile that will be remembered as a source of strength and encouragement to the rest of us, her family and friends. Frances' children ad entire family extends sincere gratitude to her niece, Chelsea and great-niece, Lexi for the daily care they provided their Tia with tireless devotion. Frances' infectious spirit, and incredible love for others will never be forgotten. She is forever in our hearts and love for her will only grow stronger with each passing day. And truly now, she can echo the words of St. Paul: I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith and we know that the Lord will welcome her for having done so.

A visitation will be held at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home, 120 S. McCall in Sinton, Texas 78387 on Friday July 31, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary/vigil at 7 p.m.  The funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Corpus Christi Cathedral, 505 North Upper Broadway in Corpus Christi, Texas 78401.
