Johnny Rodriguez Garcia, a lifelong resident of Odem went to be

with the Lord peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2025 after a long battle with cancer  surrounded by his loving family.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Petra Garcia; his sisters, Consuelo Garcia and Maria Manuela Medina, and his brother, Tomas Garcia.  He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Julie Garcia of Odem; his son, John Phillip Garcia of Odem; his daughters, Amy (Modesta) Garcia of Austin, Brenda (Mario, Jr.) Aviles of Odem, and Chanelle (Roel) Veliz of Odem; his brothers, Carlos Garcia of St. Paul and Jose Angel Garcia of Sinton; his sisters, Jesusa Tovar of Sinton, Esperanza Cruz of Brazoria, Rosa Segovia of Freeport, and Janie Lara of Odem.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Isaiah, Kristine, Mia Bella, Luke, Gianna, Alaina, Elijah, Maleah Devin, Damian, Briela, and Sebastian.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Ritchea-Gonzales

Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m.

Monday, November 23, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Odem with Reverend Willis Moore officiating.  Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Odem.
