Marilyn Allen-Holliday
Marilyn Jean (Jeannie) Allen-Holliday passed away at home on February 15, 2025, following a sudden illness. She was born and raised in Sinton, Texas and returned to live in 2014. She was a housewife.

Marilyn Jean “Jeannie” Allen-Holliday is survived by her husband, Tommy Ray Holliday; one son, Paul (Micaela) Stewart Jr. of Portland, Texas; two daughters, Christian (Shawnie) Allen of San Antonio, Texas and LaToya (Nikki) (Asa) Simon of Lafayette, Louisiana. She is survived by her granddaughters; Cassaundra Stewart of Portland, Texas; Iyliaha Denley of San Antonio, Texas, Ta’Khya Holliday of Lafayette, Louisiana, Gabriella Calderon, Kiana Stewart both of Portland, Texas, and Ne’Vaeh Holliday of Lafayette Louisiana; three grandsons; Paul Stewart III of Portland, Texas, and Dion and Jayden Simon both of Lafayette, Louisiana and one great-grandson. She is also survived by her brother Hathaway Allen of Lawton, Oklahoma and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Jr. and Ida Tones Allen; James “Jim” Allen, Sr and Virginia Allen; her brother, James Allen III; her loving sisters, Marcella Laws and Phyllis Burton; her nephew, James Laws, and her niece, Brenda Baldwin.

Mrs. Allen-Holliday will lie in state at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home on February 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home on March 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. followed by internment at Morales Cemetery in Edna Texas.
