Michael Elijah Dominguez
Michael Elijah Dominguez, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend; went to be with the Lord on November 26th, 2024. Eli was born on January 23rd, 2000 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Dominguez (Indio); and his great-grandmothers Malinda, Chacha, and Mama Julia, as he would call them. He is survived by his father, Rodolfo Dominguez of Odem, Texas; his mother, Veronica Garcia and his stepfather, Roel Garcia Jr of Corpus Christi, Texas. Surviving siblings are Casandra Flores of Waco, Texas, Rodolfo Dominguez Jr of Corpus Christi, Texas, Evan Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Lauren Garcia of San Diego, Texas. Surviving grandparents include Juanita Dominguez of Odem, Texas, Emilio and Maria Martinez of Edroy, Texas, Rosendo and Evelyn Chapa of San Diego, Texas, and Roel Garcia of Alice, Texas. Eli was loved and supported by his aunts and uncles, Jody and Marci Dominguez, Lawrence and Amber Tijerina, Emilio and Samantha Martinez, Damian and Isabel Martinez, Anthony and Delilah Canales, Javier and Crystal Barrera, Lovena Benavidez, Ariel and Laura Barrera, and Wes and Loraine Luna. Eli was adored and loved by all his cousins and extended family.
Eli graduated from Calallen High School in 2018. Recently, he lived in Los Angeles, California, where he was creating a beautiful life for himself. He worked to achieve his goals and was surrounded by a community of loving friends. Eli's friends and family describe him as a rare gift: a beautiful soul, warm, kind, sweet, wise, authentic, fun, and strong. He believed in equality for all, which made him radiate love. His family and friends will greatly miss Eli. The family has suffered a tremendous loss and ask for prayers as they continue to live life one day at a time.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 9th, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a holy rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church in Odem, Texas.
