Ofelia M. Gomez lived her life with love, kindness, and an inspirational devotion to her family and friends. She had many roles, most notably as a wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In all aspects, she was known for her warmth and nurturing spirit. She cherished life, family time, travel, and—most importantly—her faith. She enjoyed connecting through conversation and storytelling, always making those moments special with her infectious laughter and quick wit.

She was a woman of great strength and commitment. During the toughest of times, she kept her focus on her loved ones and her unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will persist through the lasting impression she left on her extensive family.

Ofelia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Augustine Gomez, and her children Ramiro Gomez, Angelita Gomez, Jesús Gomez, and Christina Gómez. She is survived by her children Hilario Gomez, Augustine Gomez Jr., Estella Molina, Elida Aldape, Raúl Gomez, and Rosemary Torres; her brothers, Ray Montemayor, Pete Montemayor , Richard Montemayor, Jimmy Montemayor; her sister, Maria Reyes; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She leaves behind an enduring legacy of love and faith through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing on Friday, August 1st from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at the Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 2nd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Odem at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery.
