Pat Brady

It is with great sadness that we share in the loss of our beloved Pat Brady, who passed away quietly on April 30, 2026 after a short illness.  He leaves behind his cherished wife, Joy Brady, as well as friends and family.  He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 16, 1946.

Pat was known as a defender of 'the underdog!'  He could reach some who were often considered 'hopeless', guiding them back to hope and restoration.  As a young man, he proudly served his country while in the US Army, fighting both in Korea and Vietnam. He was honorably discharged after four years, coming home to an often unforgiving public.  This burden stayed with him for the rest of his life as has happened to many former soldiers who served during this era.  Rather, he wanted this commitment to be known as fighting for America's freedom, something that was very important to Pat.

He was extremely intelligent, building some of the first fiber optic cable ever.  He and Joy traveled all over the country, helping others understand the vision he so clearly saw in establishing a faster, more efficient internet and cable system.  In this way, he was a man before his time.  He was always willing to help younger engineers.

Pat is preceded in death by his sister, Billie Jean Brady, his parents Jean and Bill Brady, and his dearly beloved grandmother, EO Rippi.  As treasured as he was by those who loved him, we rejoice in knowing that he is at peace with our gracious Savior, Jesus Christ.  A special "thank you" is extended to all who assisted him, especially during his final illness.

Pat's final resting place will be Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 1-37, Corpus Christi, with a ceremony of remembrance on June 3, 2026 at 10 a.m.
