Rudolfo 'Rudy" Ansualda

Rudolfo “Rudy” Ansualda, born December 7, 1945, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the age of 79.

Rudy was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, coach, and friend to many.  Rudy was a lifelong resident of Odem, Texas before moving to Corpus Christi.  Rudy was quite the jokester, always joking with his grandkids, friends, and family.  He enjoyed listening to his Tejano music while doing his crossword puzzle books, visits with his sweet Ela, and watching old black & white films.  Although we were not ready for him to go, he was ready to unite with his wife and daughter whom he spoke daily of and missed dearly.

Rudy is preceded in death by his wife, Cruz Leza Ansualda and daughter, Elovinda “Louie” Ansualda.

Rudy is survived by his two sisters, Janie Gonzales and Lupe Pantoja; four daughters, Lucy (Eric) Solis, Maribel (Levar) Olvera, Benita (Sam) Adamez, and Sandy Ansualda; and two sons, Rudy Jay (Veronica) Ansualda, and Gino (Victoria) Ansualda.  He was also survived by grandchildren, Marisa (Tommy) Ansualda, Matthew (Andrea) Leal, Francisco “Frank" Ansualda, Brandon Mejias, Derrick, Alexander and Addison Solis, Katerina Ansualda, Kristen and Lukas Alviar, Reyna Sanchez, Alex (Clarissa) Leal, Michael (Natasha) Leal, Tiffany (Rueben) Leal, Alexis (MJ) Castillo, Samantha (Sam) Heggie, and Zoe Adamez, as well as his great-grandchildren, Ela Chavez, Evan Chavez, Aiden Chavez, Penelope Ansualda, Grace & AJ Leal, Aria, Rueben and Jayden Benavides, Layla Rodriguez, Alexis Heggie; and many nieces and nephews.
