Wayne Edward Sykora passed away on November 28, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas at age 77.  He was a graduate of Richard King High School, class of 1966, and a proud American, serving in the US Army in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969.  He retired from the Corpus Christi Army Depot in 2011.  In his free time, he organized bowling teams for tournaments and called his team "Wayne's World.”  He was well respected as a community and church volunteer.   He never met a stranger.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 622 Airline Road, Corpus Christi, TX, with a reception following the service.  Burial will be at the Coastal Bend State Veteran's Cemetery on December 13, 2024 at 1 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church Bubba Bee's men's group.  Mail to St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 622 Airline Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78412.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home, 120 S.
